African wonderland

Villagers in central Kenya were shocked when a heavy hail-stone shower remained frozen on their land - making it look like snow had fallen in the east African country. The hail-storm destroyed several crops on the land and locals were unsure if their cows would go out into the cold fields, many of the locals had never seen anything like snow in their lives. Could this be the result of climate change?
