Winds of change

Villagers in one of the poorest parts of Tanzania will soon be seeing a new view from their houses and will be able to light their homes as a result. The government is planning to put up 24, 100m high wind turbines to provide electricity for the area. It is part of the first commercial wind farm in sub-Saharan Africa. In the north of Tanzania there is little agriculture, no industry, but one thing there is plenty of is wind!
